Top Vancouver restaurateur drops foie gras from the menu

One of Vancouver's top restaurateurs has stopped serving foie gras, a luxury food that also has the taint of cruelty to animals. Foie gras, French for "fat liver," comes by its flavourful fattiness by force-feeding ducks or geese unnatural amounts of food via a tube placed in its esophagus.
