The Jenni Rempel Animal Rights and Humanitarian Award
For our final program before dissolution, Liberation BC will award three scholarships in honour of the late Jenni Rempel, a former Liberation BC volunteer and activist.
Post-secondary students in British Columbia are invited to apply by May 31, 2026. Applicants will be assessed based on activism and advocacy in animal rights and human rights issues.
Awards are paid primarily through a posthumous donation made by Jenni.
About Jenni
Jenni was a vegan animal rights and human rights activist. She volunteered her time with Liberation BC and Animal Voices Radio along with other organizations. She was also a musician, actor, and filmmaker.
In 2013, Jenni was diagnosed with Endometriosis. She shared her story with the world to raise awareness of the disease, while raising funds for surgery that she did not have access to in Canada.
